Terms of Service

Description of Services:

Your Pet-Sitter will…

  1. Provide the agreed-upon pet care services in a professional and timely manner. Your sitter will attempt to communicate with you if there is any issue diminishing the time and quality of service.

  2. Follow any specific instructions regarding the pet’s medications, special care, and feeding schedules.

  3. Make their best efforts to keep your pet(s) safe and comfortable at all times.

  4. Immediately contact the Client if there is any concern regarding the pet’s well-being, behavior, or health.

  5. Notify the Client in case of emergencies involving the pet.

  6. Attempt to inform the Client if a phenomenon prevents or delays a visit from being made.

  7. Only permit individuals authorized by the Client into the residence with the pet during a reservation/visit.

  • Payment is due 48 hours after the end of your last scheduled reservation for your trip, or if there is a period of 3 or more days of no scheduled reservations. Payment is available via cash, check, or Venmo @KissiesForYourHissies. If paying in cash/check, please have your payment available where your sitter will be caring for your pets before leaving for your trip.

  • The price of services are determined by which Tier of service you have selected or best reflects your situation. Your sitter will communicate with you about the price of your visits and if there are any changes to the rate of your service in-advance of a due payment.

  • Clients who fail to make payments on any due amount within 48 hours of the last reservation will lose priority with further bookings. Repeat tardiness may result in a loss of future service through Kissies For Your Hissies.

  • Clients may reserve for several trips at a time. However, if the previous reservation has not been paid for after 48 hours after the date of your last reservation, the Pet-Sitter reserves the right to cancel your reservation at any time without reimbursement. Your Pet-Sitter will attempt to notify you if this happens.

As a Client, you are responsible for…

  1. Providing accurate and up-to-date pet information, including any health issues, medications, allergies, or special care instructions.

  2. Providing all necessary pet care supplies, including food, medications, cleaning supplies, leashes/harnesses, litter boxes, toys, etc.

  3. Ensuring the pet’s environment is safe for the pet sitter to perform the services.

  4. Providing emergency contact information and the contact details of a local veterinarian (if applicable).

  5. Working with your Pet-Sitter to formulate a plan in the case of travel delays/impediments and inclement weather which may impact the possibility of a visit.

  • If a Client fosters a hostile or dangerous condition for the pets or Pet-Sitter, all services will be cancelled and no refund will be provided. You may no longer be contacted by Kissies For Your Hissies and will be subject to loss of future service.

  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours in-advance of a reservation are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% the value of any applicable visits, due 48 hours after your last visit or at the time of cancellation. This fee may be charged at the discretion of the Pet-Sitter.

  • If a scheduled service is cancelled without notice to the Pet Sitter, no refund will be provided.

  • If the Pet-Sitter is unable to fulfill a visit due to illness, inclement weather, or emergency, the Pet-Sitter will attempt to notify the Client immediately, and a full refund will be provided for any unfulfilled services if payment has been made in-advance. If no payment has been made, there will be no amount due for any unfulfilled visits.

Payments, Cancellations, & Refund Policy:

  • The Pet Sitter will care for the pet in a safe and responsible manner but is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or damages caused by the pet’s behavior or external factors such as weather, natural disasters, or third-party actions.

  • The Pet Sitter is not responsible for damage to property caused by the pet, including chewing, scratching, or marking, unless due to negligence by the Pet Sitter.

Liability:

  • The Client must inform the Pet Sitter of any known behavioral or medical issues that may affect the safety of the pet or others at the time of making a reservation.

  • If the Client learns information suggesting that the pet or environment they are reserved for becomes hazardous or may affect the safety of the pet, the Pet-Sitter, and/or others, the Client must inform the Pet-Sitter before or during a reservation of this information as soon as possible.

  • Kissies For Your Hissies reserves the right to use any pictures or videos taken during a reservation/visit for any purpose, including, but not limited to: marketing/advertising, social media promotion, website and/or brand development, and personal use.

  • Kissies For Your Hissies will manually scan photos for personal or revealing information before publicly using photos taken from a reservation. If an image used has been identified to possess personal/revealing information in it, Kissies For Your Hissies will promptly (~72+ hours) remove or alter the image to remove any identifiable details.

Photos, Videos, & Media:

  • As a Client, you reserve the right to request to replace, modify, or remove any image Kissies For Your Hissies has utilized that was taken from a previous reservation/visit. Please contact KissiesForYourHissies@gmail.com to request to remove/modify/replace an image from your reservation.

  • The Client reserves the right to opt-out at anytime of their default agreement for Kissies For Your Hissies to utilize photos from their visit. Once the Client opts-out, any future media collected from a reservation will be privately shared between the Pet-Sitter and the Client only. Please contact your Pet-Sitter or KissiesForYourHissies@gmail.com to opt-out . Note: The Client will be required to make a request for each piece of media previously/currently used before opting-out if you would like any removals/modifications.

  • In the case of a health emergency for your pet, the Pet-Sitter will attempt to contact the Client via phone call immediately. If the Client does not respond, the Pet-Sitter will attempt to phone call all established Emergency Contacts in the order of which they are listed.

  • If the Pet-Sitter cannot contact the Client nor any Emergency Contacts in the case of a medical emergency of the pet, the Pet-Sitter will transport the pet(s) in an available carrier or the next best option to the most optimal veterinary practice, determined by the following factors:

    • Recommended Veterinary practice in instructions/communications with the Client.

    • If the recommended veterinary practice(s) is not open/operating, the closest open Veterinary practice will be selected.

Professional / Emergency Veterinary Care:

  • All of the listed conditions on this page apply to each reservation and/or interaction the Client makes with Kissies For Your Hissies. Once a Client has made a reservation, they agree to the Terms of Service posted at the time of their booking.

  • The Terms of Service apply to any and all interactions and services made hereafter between the Client and Kissies For Your Hissies.

  • By default, the Client agrees to reimburse any veterinary treatment up to $500 unless otherwise stated in-advance. Reimbursement may be made to the Pet-Sitter via cash, check, or their respective Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, or Apple Pay account.

  • The Client may modify their reimbursement and treatment cost limits by communicating with their Pet-Sitter or reaching out to KissiesForYourHissies@gmail.com.

Duration of Terms

  • By booking a new reservation, regardless of which platform the reservation is made on, the customer agrees to any changes made in the Terms of Service published since their last booking.

  • It is the Client’s responsibility to read over and remain updated on the Terms of Service before making a reservation with Kissies For Your Hissies.
